Alfa-Helicopter is a commercial air transport company specializing mainly in the area of helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS).

The company has continuously provided HEMS services since 1992 when it became the first non-governmental provider of such services in the Czech Republic. HEMS represents 98% of the company’s operations. Alfa-Helicopter is equipped to deal with all types of air rescue emergencies thanks to its skilled staff and technical facilities in accordance with the relevant aviation requirements of both the Czech Republic and EU.

Alfa-Helicopter currently operates HEMS from its bases in Brno, České Budějovice, Jihlava and Olomouc.

In addition to its main operations in commercial air transport – HEMS in particular - Alfa-Helicopter is also involved in other specialized air operations such as air chartering and air taxi transportation, and other aerial work such as airborne surveillance and patrolling, aerial surveying and mapping, inspection flights, aerial photography, scenic flights, and aerial work in the forestry, conservation, civil engineering, construction and fire-fighting services and industries.
